How to understand your cats needs?

I always give Zoey food and clean her litter. But sometimes she will not eat but keep meowing and following me around. It’s hard to figure out what she wants and it confuses me.

How do you understand the needs of your kids if you're married with kids? How do you understand your own needs? It's because you've already identified them to know when they are supposed to be taken care of. It's the same thing with for your cats.

I don't. Sometimes it is unnecessary headache trying to figure out what a pet needs since they don't talk. If I give it food and it doesn't eat, I'd just leave it there, when it is ready it will go and eat.
