Some cats grew up on the streets and have been exposed to harsh treatments and conditions. When these ones are adopted they can either retreat to themselves or be somewhat aggressive.
How can can these cats be helped?

Attention and care is the first. Then giving them a well balanced food, cat foods inclusive. Animals can hear us and assuring them that they are safe is a big way to allow them trust you.

Patience is the key when it comes to dealing with cats that grew up on the streets and have been exposed to harsh treatments and conditions which makes them traumatized. Don't rush anything with them. Introduce things to them and show them care.

If love, care and affection doesn't do it for the cat, I'm not there's anything else that's going to help such a cat in that situation of being traumatised.

Just like patience is needed to deal with humans. The problem is that most people are not patient enough for their pets and they attribute their actions to improper behavior.

Sometimes, I don't blame humans when they act out of impatience towards their pets. The humans might be passing through a lot too, just that they lack the control to manage their own life well.

Honestly, I wouldn't know how to manage a traumatized cat. They need extra care more than a normal cat is what I know. It's going to be hard for me to help such a cat.

When you have given love, care and affection to a cat, you have given the complete dosage of what they need to be well again. Being traumatised takes lot of time to heal.

They just need extra care and attention the same way a traumatized person does. There is really nothing much difficult or stressful there.

I've never had a cats that's traumatized. I think the person who's taking care of the traumatized cat needs to pay attention and find out what's making the cat to be traumatized and work on it while showing the cat love, care and attention.

It's not everybody that can take care of a traumatized person. It takes patience and more attention to handle someone like that without being frustrated.
