Do you have a collar on your cat? If so, why do you use it? Is it for identification purposes or for safety reasons?

I personally used collars when I had two cats for identification purposes, and I want to make sure they could be easily identified if they ever got lost.

All my cats have collars with identification on them so that if anything happens to them, those who find them are able to contact me and let me know. There is nothing more worrying than your cat going missing and not having any way to be contacted regarding them.

Only one of my cats has a collar on as the others for some reason will not tolerate it. I do have all my cats microchipped so that if anything were to happen to them I could still be contacted about it.

When we had Smokey we always ensured that she had a collar on. There were a few times that she would go out with her collar on and come back without it as she had managed to somehow get it off so we would have to buy her a new one. If that was the case, I wouldn't let her out until she had a new collar on.

I don't have any collar on any of my cats yet. But, I'm likely going to get it for them and have all the collars chipped. It's going to help me locate them if they ever get lost. It's not like I'm wishing for them to get lost but making plans for it isn't a bad idea I guess.

I have collars for my cats but they are only used when we are talking a walk. I don't like it when we are talking a walk and they will be running off. They might get into fight with other cats which I wouldn't like.

Yes, I have a collar on my cat's neck with his name tag on it. It looks so cute on him. I saw it on a movie and decided to buy it for all of my cats.

I have them but I only put it on my cats whenever we are going to take a walk. But whenever they are at home, I will remove it so that they are going to feel very comfortable.

Zoey does not need that when I take her for a a walk. She always stay close to me, and I don’t even like any clothing or material on her.

Nope, none of my cats have a collar on them. I feel like it is restrictive and gives them the impression that they are prisoners. Besides, my cats don't stray too far from the house, that is if they leave the house in the first place.

No, I don't have a collar on her. She don't stay outside without my consent and can never wander round the neighborhood. She's always indoor like me.

There is no need for me to put a coller on my cats because they are mostly inside all the time and I don't need a coller for me to walk them inside the house.

Yes cats are not like dogs that they need frequent walks a outside the house. So there is no need for collars.

I see it as a punishment putting collars on cats. It doesn't look comfortable on the cats no matter how cute the collars look on them. I'll never put collars on any of my cats.
