One of female cat started displaying a new act for two weeks. She would always rub her nose after eating her food or drinking water. In fact, she does it when she eats just anything. I'm beginning to think she's got some kind of oral infection, I'm not just sure.

Do you think it's something I should be worried about and take her to the vet?

Maybe it is an injury. Have you checked closely? You should observe or call your vet doctor to come and run some checks. Although, I don't see it as a big deal.

This could be a health issue if it has just started happening or it could also be something that she has just started doing.

I know after my cat had eaten, she would always rub her nose area and mouth area and it was to clean that area after eating.

I would also look for an injury as well though just to be on the safe side.

It actually depends on how your cat is rubbing her nose after eating or drinking. If she's doing it with pains, then it's a health issue. If not, she may just be trying to clean her nose of any food particles close to her nose.

I've never witnessed this in any of my cats. Did you observe if your cat have any kind of injury or rashes that might be causing her to rub on her nose?

I haven't witness rubbing of nose with my cat. The first time she hurt her back though I don't know how it happened, she started avoiding me to touch that part. When I observed it, I saw a little scratch, guess that's why she always don't want me to touch it.

I would suggest you have your cat's vet take a look at your cat just to be sure everything is well. I don't think it's anything serious but you can't be too careful. I hope your cat is feeling better.

Or maybe it’s just cleaning it’s mouth, the way humans do after eating or drinking? Cats are known to mimic human actions.
