Cats can live for a considerable amount of years depending on their health from when they are born. With regular vet visits and such your cat can have a long and great life.

I have known some cats to live until they were 23 and others pass as young as 10 years old.

Smokey was 12 when she passed from heart failure, she was born with a heart murmur.

How old was your oldest cat?

The oldest cat I had lived until she was 15 and then she passed away. She got a tumor and it was better for us to let her go than keep her suffering so that was the decision she made.

I have known cats to live into their 20s as well and that is amazing to see.

The oldest cat I had was 18 years old. We had her from a kitten and managed to give her 18 years of love and she was very spoilt. I love that we can take cats and give them a great life so they can fulfill life.

My oldest cat is currently 14 years old. He's aged so well and we have shared a lot of good memories together. He was a gift from my grandma's and we have been together ever since. It's going to break my heart when he's eventually going to pass on. I don't like to think about it but I know it's inevitable one day.

My cat, luna, is currently 7 and it is the oldest cat that I have. We have had a lot of good memories together which is pretty 😍. I truly know that these experiences will stay with me forever.

My oldest cat is 16 years. I can't believe she's been with me for that long. I had to go and cross check her car now to know the exact year period she's been with me and I'm surprised it's been this long.

My first cat was 20 years old when she passed away. Till today, she have been my oldest cat because it took a while before I got another cat to keep after she died.

My oldest cat is 12 years at the moment. I've shared so many memories with him that have made us bond so tight. I love all of my cats the same way I love myself. They have been magical to my life.

My oldest cat is 7 years old. She's still very young in my eyes and I want her to stay at least 20 years without have any health issues that's going to cause her any pains.

4 years before she was run over by a motorcycle. It was saucy a day to forget. The next one I got is 14 months old. Hopefully she gets the chance to live out her life.

We had a few cats who lived to be in their early 20's. Their names were Bullet, Gurtlin, and Sleepy. They all lived to be around 20, Sleepy lived to be 21. If you take great care of your cat they can live a long life. :)

20 years? Wow that is indeed a long life. The highest I had a cat around for was 9 years. Even then it was a butter pill to swallow when he died.

All of my cats are almost of the same age. The oldest of my cat's is 8 years old. The youngest of them is 5 years old. They are all my furr babies and I love them so much. I can't bear it when they age too much and pass away.

It is always very painful losing your cat to hit and run drivers who don't know how to drive along the neighborhood where people are living. It hurts me so much that I wish them the same thing they do to any cat on the road.

This is very correct. When you make sure to take very good care of your cats, they are definitely going to live long because they have the potential of staying along time once they are in good health condition.

Agreed! It is how you take care of your cat that is going to determine if they are going to live for a very long time as long as they are not having any existing health condition that can't be helped.

Your kittens are still very young but with properly taking good care of them, they grow into old age in good and solid strength. I hope your cats reach up to 20 years at least. It will feel so good.

It's a memory I have always cherished of my old cat. I might not have all the pictures of him but he got a big space in my heart. He was 6 and I used to call him smiley because of his smiling face.

There was no form of sickness or virus, we met him sleeping comfortably not knowing he's already gone.
