How often do you give your cats treats?

I have known many people to give into their cats every time they whine for more treats and that can not be good for the health of the cat at all. Treats are supposed to be for exactly what they are called and that is as a treat.

All my cats are allowed treats that are specifically for cats but I will only allow them to have the recommended amount once per day and if they try and get more I will just tell them no and stick to it.

How often do you give your cats treats?

We have three cats. Our girl cat, Phoenix can eat and eat and never have any tummy issues, where the 2 boys, Magneto and Professor have sensitive stomachs, for these reasons the boys get a few treats only once a day and our girl Phoenix gets multiple treats throughout the day. Even with all the extra treats, Phoenix is half the size of the boys.

When we had Smokey we would allow her to have the recommended amount stated on the packaging, she would always play up and whine for more but we never gave in to her as we knew it wouldn't be good for her. No matter how many times she didn't get her way, she still tried though, we just had to be strict with her when we said no.

Treats isn't all the time. She get a treat whenever she acts amazingly or when I feel like she deserves one. I think I am just a strict parent to her.

I give my cats treats all the time. I can't resist not giving them. The good thing is that they don't have any stomach issues from eating too much treats.
