How do you bond with new cats faster?

It can be pretty difficult to bond with new cats, they just seem to hide away and be evasive most times.

What strategies have helped you?

I found out that getting them new toys always helps. I also try as much as possible to pet them and give them treats whenever they let me do so.

Yes there is nothing that substitutes spending time playing with them. Most people exchange this with gifts and food, which is a terrible idea.

Create time for your cats and play with them as often as possible. There's no way they won't bond with you very fast. Also, if you start playing with them often, don't withdraw quickly as it's going to affect them psychologically.
