I hear stories of how cats attack their owners, though it has never happened to me. These ones have scars due to the scratches torn their cats. If Zoey should ever show sign of this I will curb it as fast as possible.

Some cats can be extremely aggressive and can be more so towards their owners. When they are going through certain emotions like hunger, they can attack with their claws.

Why should a cat be aggressive to it's owner because of hunger or anger? I think if they do it the first time and the owner reprimand them, there won't be any reason to do it again. It happens continuously because their owners allowed that.

You think so? I wouldn't expect 100% loyalty from those felines though. In the end, they are still animals.

Well the attack in this sense could be that they scratched you while they think they are just playing with you. It happens sometimes, an unintentional attack.
