Something I have never seen anyone do but I do know there are some people that do it is walking their cat. I know you can buy leashes for cats so you can take them out for a walk and it seems as though only those who have house cats tend to walk their cats.

I myself never had a leash for Smokey and never took her for a walk as she was always happy with heading out on her own and barely ever left the garden.

Do you ever walk your cat using a leash?

We tried walking one of our cats on a leash and it was a big fail! We purchased a tiny cat vest and a cool leash. First, we put the vest on to let Magneto get used to it, then we carried him outside and placed him on the ground, the minute his paws hit the ground, he immediately lost his ability to stand! LOL, it was the funniest thing, he did NOT want to be there, he did not want to be outside and refused to get up and walk. Never tried again.

Whenever I'm walking my cat, I always make use of a leash. The reason why I do so is because I wouldn't want to have him wandering off in public. I have experienced that once and it wasn't a pleasant day for me. Ever since then, we go out together on a leash.

Yes, I have always used leash whenever I am walking my cats in public. This is simply because I don't like it when they start running off and getting into other people and probably fighting other cats that is around. I have them on a leash so that we will be coordinated with our movement.

It's quite unfortunate my cats are not comfortable with leashes. I've tried to use it on them twice, they weren't having it. So, we stopped it. They are well behaved, I don't have to worry about them running off.

I suppose that it's going to be challenging for you whenever you're walking your kittens in the public. They might be calm but you can't determine or control what other cats you're going to run into would do.

I have done it several times. She love that particular leash that we used to go out but as she grew older, I stopped with the leach and always put her in my bag or allow her to walk.

What are I normally do is to try as much as possible not to take them to places where a lot of people are crowded because that is what usually makes them agitated and uncomfortable.
