My sister is having a very serious challenge with her 5 months old kitten. According to her, the kitten doesn't seem to stop bitten. She have tried everything to make her stop bitting. She even got her chewing toys but it never helped out.

How long do you think it's going to take for her kitten to stop bitting?

Your sister has to try to redirect kitty's behavior. The minute kitty starts biting, your sister should firmly say NO, and redirect kitty's attention to a toy instead. It is possible kitty is bored, if possible maybe your sister can get another cat to give kitty a companion to play with and grow up with.

This is common for kittens and unless it is dealt with early on, it can be something that they never grow out of.

This has been mentioned above but you do need to redirect the kitten's behaviour when they bite. It will take some time and you will have to be patient but in time, you will notice a difference.

There are some people who don't know how to reaffirm their cat's behavior and that is the reason why they keep biting even when they are no longer kittens. I've managed to be able to teach my cats not to bite and they are no longer doing it.

How did you do it? How did you teach your cat to stop biting?

This is the simple truth when it comes to getting cats to stop bitting. You have to start teaching them at their very young age. Once they get it, it's going to be what they only do once in a while maybe when they are angry or something.

Cat bitting doesn't bother me too much but you see hissing and scratching, they bother me so much when my cats do it.

You only have to teach them what they need to know. Cats and other pets listen to their own. You can inculcate their behaviour when they are still young.
