Why do cats sometimes knock things off tables for no reason?

This has never been something I have had to deal with when it's come to any cat I have owned but I know that many people do deal with this issue with their cats and you may have seen videos of it.

What makes cats knock things off tables or counters for no reason?

I haven't fathom their reasons for doing it. It's not only one cat but I have always seen videos of different cats doing the same. Some will knock it off and wait for it to fal before they will run out. It's really weird and they ain't talking to ask them the reason for that.
