If this isn't the right place to post this, please let me know. My cat is overly emotionally dependent on me, she has always been surrounded by other cats since I live with my entire family and they all had their own pets until recently two of them passed and my cousin moved away so she had to take her own pet with her, making three of them gone and my cat being the only one left. Very recently, too, a new kitten arrived home and ever since these two events my cat called Vicha has been acting extremely anxious, not wanting to eat despite her plate being full, always whining and chasing me wherever I go. It's extreme, like, she'll WHINE if she even sees me get up from my seat beside her. What causes this and how can I help her? I really can't bear to see her be so anxious and dependent on me.

Is your cat overly dependent on you, too? How do you soothe it?
