Rescued stray cat always trying to get out.

There was a stray cat that my neighbor brought home. She said she used to feed it in the street before but now she has gotten used to it, and it does not run away from her.

She brought it into the home but it always try to go outside. I will say it is used to the streets and it will take some time to adjust.

What can prevent this?
