My cat went up in the chimney once

This is a bit awkward but it happened with one of my cat Flash. She's the only cat that goes to the extreme with one thing or another in the house. I don't know what drove her up in the chimney. At first, I thought she was stuck but that's not likely because I saw she was sitting behind the flu damper. When I tried luring her back down, she seem to want to go up further. Everything I did to get her out from there wasn't working until I remembered how she hated water. I had to go up to the roof and ran some water down from a hose through the chimney. She ran out like a bat out from hell. I was happy she came out alive and unharmed.

Flash must be a very challenging cat to live with because pulling off this kind of behaviour will leave any owner worried and frustrated. Imagine if you didn't figure out how to get her down from the chimney, you will wait until she's willing to come down on her and there's no way to know what that's going to happen.

She's a very energetic cat amongst all of my cats. It's why I'm not surprised whenever she pulls off an unexpected act like the day she went up the chimney. It was the first time I've seen anything like that with any cat. It's tree I know cats used to climb and not up chimney.

I would freak out if my cat should ever do something like that. In fact, it's one of the reasons why I don't feel comfortable having a chimney in my house. I had to close up mine practically the moment I moved it. Thank God, I don't have anything to worry about it now with my cats.

I'm not sure if I would at ease with a cat that would put me through this kind of pressure. You won't get home and not be in tension if something have happened to your cat. This can be very tiring.

Thank God that I don't have a chimney in my house because this would have been a very serious problem for me trying to get my cat down from having climbed up that high. Chimneys are not supposed to be in houses again 😂.

My cat have never done anything like this. This is going to freak me out if I came back from work only to see my cat up the house chimney. Dogs are not too adventurous, it's why some people are more for dogs than cats.

I wouldn't be happy trying to get my cats down from the chimney. It's why I have my chimney blocked off so none of them can climb up there to begin stressing the life out of me.
