If not cats, then what other pet would you have?

I know this is a cat’s forum, but let us discuss what other pet you would have if not a cat.
For me I would have a parrot, would be nice to listen to those sounds when everywhere is quiet with only I in the house.

If not cat, what other pet would you have?

If I couldn't have a cat, I would choose a dog for the companionship or a monkey because of their intelligence and playful nature. Both would be fun and unique pets to experience.

Dogs are easily my favorite. I love their loyalty, playful nature, and affection. Coming home to a dog genuinely excited to see me never gets old.
