There are some people who can't keep more than one pet cat at a time. It maybe be as a result of not being able to take very good care of more than one cat or not having enough home space to house more. While there are some people who can't just have more than one. It's just what they can be comfortable with.

If you're the one's that doesn't mind keeping more than one cat, how many would someone keep and it would be considered to be too many for a person in your opinion?

This is a very difficult question to answer, it all depends on the person, the space they have, the financial means and the time they have. My boyfriend and I have 3 cats and we can definitely afford to get more but we both have jobs that take a lot of our time and cats need attention and they need clean quarters, cleaning 2 litter boxes a day, cleaning up their mess and cleaning up a home is a lot of work... so for us 3 is the max.

The financial aspect is a key factor. I wouldn't want to have a cat that I won't give the maximum care that they deserve. I will rather not adopt them at all.

If you have all the money in the world but you don't have the time to look after your cat, even if it's one cat, you're not supposed to own the cat. It's the reason why there are cats in care homes where you can go and offer support for them to be looked after. Time, money and space is required to take good care of any pet.

I'm happy you have this thinking on how to take all the cat's in shelter home to actual homes because they deserve better than they are getting being in shelter. I hope one day I would be able to take more cats away from shelter homes.

This is a good question but it is also one that is difficult to answer as an individual, to be honest.

Everyone is different when it comes to looking after cats and whilst one person could end up being able to take care of around 4 cats or more, some people may only have the time and ability to look after only one cat.

I myself was happy with just one cat but she, unfortunately, passed away.

We have been thinking about getting another cat but I also feel that getting two would also be something I could do now as well.
