Losing a cat is never easy, they come into our lives and become a huge part of our life and part of the family and when they have to leave to head over the rainbow bridge it never gets any easier no matter how many times you have been through the loss of a cat.

I have in the past lost a few cats due to them either falling ill or just getting to old age and it has never been easy to see any of them go. I think I will always have upset and heartbreak when they pass as it's normal when they become part of the family.

I always tell myself that they are in a better place now with no more suffering and playing over the rainbow bridge with the other pets that have passed.

I have had many cats over the years that have passed due to illness or old age and it never gets any easier at all. I always find a way to cope and have a good cry and let it all out.

It is true what you say though, they are now in a better place over on rainbow bridge and that always helps make things that little easier.

Every time I have a cat that passes it never gets any easier. Last year was when Smokey passed from heart failure. We took her to the vet but the best thing to do was to let her go so she would no longer be suffering. It's a hard decision to make and it is upsetting but you have to just tell yourself that they are in a better place now.

Even though I knew Smokey would probably have to go as she was suffering it never made things any easier and I was heartbroken when I got the call that she had passed. I cried for a few days and also expected her to be there over the weeks until we got used to her being gone.

It's only when my cat passes as a result of old age it doesn't hurt too much but I will feel the pain of losing him or her. I've lost my cat once as a result of old age. It was pained for months but I later got over the loss.

It's always very depressing. I have lost two cats over the years and I can tell you that it wasn't easy at all. I tried all coping mechanism that I know but nothing was working. It was just only time that helped me to get over it.

I have come to the acceptance that our pets cannot live forever without dying which is why I don't find myself being in pain for so long whenever my cat passes. I was simply mourn for a while and then I'll move on and get another cat.

Keep memories about your cats because they will surely pass one day. They are not meant to live long like human beings. It's those good memories that will help you to cope when they die.

It's always heartbreaking for me whenever any of my cats passes. My last cat that passed die in her sleep right in my bed. I woke up being broken in the million pieces. I couldn't get a hold of myself for months.
