My cat happens to be very friendly to strangers. Whenever I have visitors, he will always come walk in between their legs rubbing off her skin against their's and will be looking up expecting them to touch him.

I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not but what do you all think about this behaviour of my cat? Is it something that I should be worried about?

I don't see any wrong with how your cat behaves around your visitors. They probably know that those people are your friends, so they decide to be friendly with them too. My cats are equally comfortable around my friends too.

My cat always used to love being fussed by anyone who came in the house, that was until she went missing for a few days. We believe she got shut in someone's shed during the weekend as she went missing on Friday evening and didn't come back until Sunday evening.

Once she came back we noticed how much more timid and shy she got and how much more clingy she got to me after going missing. She would still like to be fussed by others but it took her a little longer to come around to people that were in the house.

We have 3 cats and only ONE of them is "people friendly", the other 2 run and hide whenever people come in to the house, no idea why because we have had them all since kittens, but that's just their personality!... I can't complain though, I too try to avoid people as much as I can! Lol

It's very obvious that your other two cats were learning from you. They are probably introverts now all thanks to you too 😂. Although, I believe they can easily change if they get to emulated your other cat that loves being around people.

One of my cats did not like to be petted by anyone except for me.
The only other person was my ex boyfriend that she warmed up to after a while and became very friendly with .
My other cat would like to be petted by anyone. She would just sit there without a care in the world.

All of my cats love it when we have visitors around and they will often come around those who visit and let us know they wish to be fussed.

Some visitors who turn up are not always that keen on cats so we have to move them away for that reason but other than that, most visitors are quite happy to pet the cats and the cats are happy when they get petted.

I trained my cats in a way that it is almost impossible for a stranger to pet them. I did this because I am afraid of what is going to happen when somebody that I don't know start coming close to them and becoming familiar. You have to take good care of your cats before an unknown stranger takes them away.

You're a stranger, so my cats are supposed to be very cautious when it comes to allowing you get close to them and not to talk about having to pet them.

I'm afraid of getting close to strangers too and it should be the same thing with my cats as well. I won't like them getting close to strangers.

Just like my dog, my cats are always friendly to people. Unless you have tried to harm or hurt them in a way, then they will be very shy of coming near you. No one gets to abuse my cats and gets away with it. My cats are clingy too and I love it. One follows and grabs my leg whenever I'm at home.

I don't know how my cats decides who's okay for them to allow touch and pet them. I have no control over it. If they don't like you, they will never come close for you to touch them in any way and you can't forcefully catch them, otherwise they will claw you.

Most of the time my cats doesn't allow strangers to pet them which is something that is normal because they are not comfortable around strangers. It is only on rare occasion that they allow someone whom they are not familiar with to pet them which I've not discover the reason why they do that.

It's not a worry. It's a way they sing welcome address to the strangers. My cat can be shy depending on who she saw but she love to be pet by the people that visited the home.
