There will always come a time when a cat needs to be administered medication. I remember a few times Smokey needing to have medication due to health issues that would arise and I always remember giving her the medication and making sure she took it was never an easy task.

I found that putting the medication in her food worked for a while but she soon worked that one out. Another way I would administer her medication would be to put it in her mouth and then rub her neck to force a swallow to swallow the medication, that soon became a bigger task.

When you administer medication to your cat, what tips do you have to ensure they successfully consume the medication?

Well, I won't lie about this. I haven't done any drug administration to my cat while she was alive. I was very scared to do that even though she wasn't stubborn. We used to take her to the vet and that's their work always.
