Dogs are usually the main pet I used to see a lot of guys go on a hike with here in my neighbourhood. You hardly see anyone doing it with their cats which makes me to wonder if cats are not best suited pet to go on a hike with.

Do you have any experience going hiking with your cat? How did that go? Was it challenging or very easy for you?

I don't hike often and my cats are never coming with me. Hiking is stressful which is why I'm not used to it and I can't imagine putting my cats through the same thing I don't feel at ease doing.

For safety purposes, I keep my cats at home when I go hiking. I have seen some hikers come around with their dogs, but rarely seen those that came with cats and that is the risk that I am not willing to take now.

A cat that likes being outdoor might enjoy hiking. You mentioned how your cat Simba loves being out, you should try hiking along together and see if Simba likes it.

It's not everyone that takes part in hiking and unfortunately it's not something I like being involved with. I have other ways I tend to workout with which hiking isn't part of it. So, I don't take my cats for hiking.

I've never gone hiking in my life and as a result of that there have not been any opportunity for me to take my cat for a hike. I'm not even sure if it is possible that I'm going to be willing to do it with my cat because hiking is something that is very draining when it comes to energy.

Hiking isn't a routine that I engage in. I've never hiked for once in my life. I've only gone camping once and never liked it. It was the last time I went for it. So, my cats are off limits for hiking.

I've gone hiking with my cats a few times. I found out that they don't like it too much especially when the weather is too hot. Since then, I have not tried going hiking with them again.

I'm gonna kill my cat if I ever go hiking with her. Cats are not meant to be used or train as sports animals. They need to live soft lives and have their gentle life to themselves.

Dogs are more open to exploring more than cats. It's the same thing with my cats and dogs too. My cats usually like to be left alone and play when they want to. Also, they don't like being in a leash.

Dogs are more explorer than cats and that's the reason they were chosen among other animals by the military as they showcase their prowess. Cats are always queens that don't need disturbance.

Actually, I've never considered taking my cats with me whenever I'm going for a hike. I've always assumed that it is not an activity they are going to do well with which is why I don't bring them along but I'm going to try one time and see how they feel about it.
