It's wrong to declaw a cat because it changes everything about them. As for clipping your cat's nails down, it's not bad. Cats owners do it once in a while if their cats allows it. You can't force your cat to clip their nails if they are not interested. If you have clipped your cat's nails, at what age do you start doing it?

I have only clipped my cat's nails once when it was very obvious they are hurting me too much with how long it's gotten. I know how important it is for them to still have their nails, so I just cut them down a little bit for my own safety. Their nails doesn't take too long to grow.

I have never clipped any of my cat's nail. I believe that it is not the right thing for a cat owner to do because cats are creatures with natural Instincts and their nails helps them to be who they are. I'm never going to take that away from any of my cats.
