Recently I read a book titled “100 cats who changed civilization” by Sam Stalls. It is a fascinating and entertaining book that explores the significant impact cats have had on human history and culture.
The book is divided into 100 short chapters, each dedicated to a specific cat that has made a significant contribution to human history.
Some of the notable cats featured in the book are:
1. Ta-Miau, the ancient Egyptian cat goddess.
2. Dick Whittington's cat, which allegedly helped its owner become Lord Mayor of London.
3. Mrs. Chippy, the cat that accompanied Ernest Shackleton on his ill-fated Antarctic expedition.
4. Félicette, the first cat in space.
It’s a witty and interesting book, a must read for cat lovers. You can pick it up for your leisure.
