I have only ever tried to bathe my cats once and they were having non of it, they really did not like the water at all. If I remember rightly it was a shampoo I got from the local pet store that they recommended to me that I bought and used on them. -

I could never keep my cats indoors as house cats as they love to be outside exploring especially when the weather is nice. I could only imagine how they would be if I stopped them from going outside. We have had to in the past if they have been a little under the weather and that never went well. -
How does your cat communicate with you?
My cats tend to communicate with us in different ways depending on what they want. If they are wanting attention they tend to do little purr noises whilst nudging you to let you know they want attention. When they are hungry then tend to wind around our legs and feet and meow to let us know that. -

With my cats, it varied as to how easy it was to train them. I remember one of them took longer than others to get used to using a litter tray but now, I don't seem to have any issues at all with any of them using a litter tray if they need to. -

I have not looked into any kind of shampoo for my cats as I do not believe that they would ever want to have a bath without it being a big issue. Unless I was recommended by my vet to bathe my cats and recommended a certain shampoo I would probably not bathe them just so that it doesn't affect... -

My cats will not be near any water at all unless they are drinking it. They hate water and I could only imagine their reaction if there ever was a time that they would need to swim if they ever fell into say a pond or pool. -

That's great that you were able to get to the bird and help it to safety so it could fly off again when it was ready. I find some cats either hunt to kill and others tend to hunt to play in which case not a lot of harm is done to what they catch and in some cases, they can survive. -

This is very true, I had read it myself somewhere that cats do indeed purr when the are in pain as well as when they are happy and content. It does make it difficult to know why they are purring unless it's visible that they are either happy or unwell. -

I do wonder if it may be more of a comfort thing as well as a keeping warm thing as well, especially during the colder months. I know when I have a blanket tightly around me I tend to feel more secure and it's a comfort thing for myself and it could very well be the same for some cats. -

This is one of my worries as well. Not so much them getting it in their mouth as I know that would happen but the wax has been known to dry fast and I could not imagine what it would take to get it out of their fur before they washed. -
Do your cats wake you up in the morning?
I always find that it varies on the time of year which will depend on what time they wake me. Usually, when they start to see the daylight they want to be up and you have to be up as well. It's worse when we are in the summer months as it can get light as early as 4am.
