Maybe it's just for the need to feel like they belong. Some people don't even know how to pay attention to themselves properly but they will go ahead and get a pet. There's no way they can take care of the pet well. -

No, I don't have any business with bees. They don't have their hive anywhere near my neighbourhood, so I don't have anything to worry about them. Also, I wouldn't find myself going into an unknown forest because that's where you're going to get stung.- Ragnarok

It's not just any newly adopted cats but strays is what I'm talking about. A stray cat doesn't know what it's like to be loved. They are afraid of people and find it very difficult to trust. It takes time for them to trust who just decided to adopt them. -

Unless it is a stray cat that was newly adopted, there is a chance that the cat will still be afraid of the owner until they are now more comfortable being with that person. -

I would be extremely worried being around any cat that doesn't jump around playing and fighting. Such cats will be very cynical to stay with.
