If you ever try that locking of door with my cat, they will start to panic and begin to scratch the door in a very bad way. I never lock room's door when I sleep.- Ezra

How long did it take your cat to recognize their name?
If you want your cat to recognise and respond to being called by their names, start it when they were kittens. It won't take more than 3 weeks, they should be used to the name.- Ezra
