What's your cat's experience with cucumbers?

I think cats are always terrified to see cucumbers, and it could be as a result of the shape of a cucumber, which is long and greenish, the same shape that a snake has. As a cat owner, what has been the experience of your cat at the sight of a cucumber nearby?

I heard about this but I wasn't opportuned to witness such with my cat and there's no way I can visit a friend with cucumber to know if their pets will be terrified to see it.

There are so many videos online which show cats jumping and running when they turn and see a cucumber but this is not fear from my review but more of them being surprise. Cats are not afraid of cucumbers.

This is very correct. There was even a time when my cat was trying to eat cucumber. This shows he wasn't afraid of it. Cucumbers are harmless to cats.

I will agreed to this but I need to watch videos to see how they jump or run away from cucumber. Maybe reading some comments will give me some ideas of why they are running away.

I have never had that experience with Zoey before. Maybe that is because I never let her near the groceries or kitchen. I will try and pay more attention to this and see if it’s a thing.

I checked Tiktok videos the previous day to know if cats do such always and know what their owners said about it. From the comments, people are saying that cats are afraid of cucumber because they thought it was a snake.

She better stay away from the kitchen because there's a good chance Zoey will run through things in the kitchen and make a mess of everything if she's clumsy.

Unfortunately, I don't eat cucumber. I have never had them in my house, so there's no way my cats would have an experience with them. Cucumber isn't one of my favourite vegetables.

Cucumber acts as a detoxification but not so many people likes it, my sister said that it's just water, shaped in a longline form.

I have never had the chance to introduce cucumber to any of my cats. I think I'll have to give it a try by next week and see how they are going to react to the cucumber.

We can't wait to know your observations too. I want to know if they are also afraid of cucumber or it's just a myth or fact that we don't know how it came about.

They didn't care about the cucumbers at all. It was like they never see it as anything, so yeah all of my cats are not in any way afriad of cucumbers.

My cats are literally not afraid of anything and I don't think cucumber is something that is frightening enough to make them be afraid. If it's something they can eat, I'm sure they would devour it.

I'm very surprised that some people talking about how their cats are afraid of cucumbers. I can't understand what threat cucumber poses to cats for them to be afraid of it.

That's impressive. The myth or fact that cats are afraid of cucumber can't be generalized as a 100% thought because you proved to us that your cat didn't see it as anything.

This will even be the first time I will hear anything about cucumber. But I know that they are not allergic to it.

I don't have any business with cucumber because I don't eat it. So, there is no way it is going to enter my house in the first place for my cats to have any kind of experience with it.

All of my cats doesn't care about cucumbers. They walk past it like it doesn't exist. I have never seen them trying to eat or even play with it at least.

The last time I checked, I don't think cucumbers are cat food. I don't see any reason why a cat should be having anything to do with the cucumber and as a owner, I wouldn't be giving my cat cucumbers.
