Zoey has some moods that even I do not understand sometimes. Recently she has started attacking visitors, who she sees and unwelcome strangers in the house.

Any idea how this behavior can be stopped?

You will learn to keep her somewhere safe that she can't meet your visitors before you open the door for the visitors. Your cat might be feeling nervous around the strangers, that's why she's attacking them.

I don’t know. I just feel like restraining your cats from meeting new people is not the answer. There should be some other effective ways to do this.

Another effective way is to carry her to meet those visitors and I believe that you can watch her closely if she wanted to act out to the visitors.

You can't force a cat to allow someone be close to them or pet them. They will hiss, claw and even try bitting the person.

I think the best way is to find how to keep your cats distracted whenever you have a visitor.

Keep the visitors away from your cat if it's possible. I will do my best to entertain my guests in spot where my cats wouldn't have access to my guests.

Yeah, I said it before. If it's possible to take them away till the visitor leaves, it's a good choice. But when you carry them to meet the visitors, you never know what will be the outcomes.

This should work in my opinion as cats don't easily become cool with anyone that they don't feel like associating with. So, getting them to meet and become friendly with a visitor that they don't like is always a very bad one at that.

I hope that this wouldn't be how my cats is going to behave with my visitors around because it's going to be very embarrassing to deal with.

It is really embarrassing to be honest. Whenever she chooses to be she will embarrass me to the full.

Keep your cats away from visitors is the best way to stop them from attacking them. This can be achieved by giving them toys to play with when there's a visitor in your home.

Not every cat would attack a visitor, even though some cats do that out of fear but I won't agree that they all attack the visitors. Some of them also love to stay with the visitors by curling near their body.

I agree, the best thing to do is when you notice that any of your cats are being agitated being around strangers, it's best to remove them from the room at that time.

For the record, it is going to be very difficult for you to pick up your cats and carry them to go and meet your visitors. They wouldn't ever allow you to try that kind of a thing if it's my cats.

Some cats won't want to have such feeling where they are pushed to go see the visitors. I believe arranging their room and keeping them there when I am expecting a visitor is the best thing to do.

That's the best decision to take. If you are allowing them to stay with your visitors in a room, it might lead to them being violent without a cause.

I can't also try that because it won't make sense. And from the way that cats also acts, they won't even allow you to carry them and go to meet your visitors.

The only way to achieve that is to lock them inside, there is no guarantee that they will stay where you keep their toys.

Simply give your cats what's going to keep them occupied and distracted whenever whenever visitors are in your house.
