Would you keep a tarantula?

Anyone that knows me knows that I have a huge fear of spiders and that tarantulas are a no-go at all for me. I would never have one in my house and would hate to be in the same house as one even if they were in a tank.

I have in the past been in a pet shop where they had a tarantula and the minute I saw it, even though it was in the tank, I had to leave.

Would you ever keep a tarantula as a pet?

All the tarantula I've seen all look disgusting. There's a way their body or skin looks with hairs that's very difficult for me to stand. I can't keep them and I can't be in a house of anyone who keeps them because I might end up killing someone's pet when it touches me.

I wouldn't mind keeping tarantula. In fact, I wouldn't mind keeping any other kind of animal as pet with the exception to snakes. Snakes can never be a pet to me. I don't care if they are not poisonous.
