Have you ever had a cat that likes to go on a walk?

Taking any pet on a walk is always something I have associated with dogs, that was until I heard of people that take their cats on a walk and I saw in a store they actually do leads for cats.

I have never attempted to take any of my cats out for a walk and even if I tried, I do not think they would be happy to go for a walk away from the garden and the neighborhood.

Have you ever had a cat that liked to go on walks?

Not yet. A few years ago we bought a harness with a leash specifically for our Russian Siberian cat and when we attempted to walk him, he dropped to the ground and refused to get back up, lol! Last time we tried.

Since both my cats were indoor cats, they never went outside, so I never did this.
However, before my sister's cat ended up being mine, she bought a leash to try this indoors. It worked pretty well since the cat was pretty mellow. She was going to try it outdoors but never did.

My cat used to love being outside until she didn't come home one warm evening in 2014, we looked everywhere for her but could not find her and I feared the worst. She came back two days later in the evening really scared and allowed me to hold her like a baby, we believe she got trapped in a shed during the weekend and they must have opened it again and she got out.

After she went missing for that period of time she became really anxious and nervous about being out even in the garden and would worry unless we kept the door open and stayed out there with her. Due to that, it would never have been possible to take her for walks.

My cats are the good with being outdoors. The last time we went for a walk, it rained and we all got derenched. Since after that experience, they hate to go for a walk. Even if they must do it, it's not going to be far from the house.

Two of my cats are very shy, they don't like mixing up with people or the public or even any of my visitors. This makes it very difficult for me to take them with me for a walk. They rather walk about the yard on their own.
