Do you put sunscreen on your cat?

So something I never knew until my mum told me is that we should be putting sunscreen on our cats, especially on the tips of their ears and also their nose if they have a pink nose as they can get sunburnt if they are out in the sun. As soon as I was told this I would always keep some sunscreen in for my cat and put it on whenever I knew she would be out in the sun for a long period of time which was usually if we were out in the garden.

Do you put sunscreen on your cat? Were you aware that you should be putting sunscreen on your cat if they are out in the sun?

I sure do! Most cats have lighter-colored noses and also have lighter-colored skin on the tips of their ears as well so when it comes to them being outside, especially in the hot sun we get during the summer months, they can get sunburnt.

It's not something that is stressed and pushed out there enough I don't feel and so many people go without ever protecting their cat against the sun.

I only found out that you should after the vet we used mentioned it and now I ensure that they always have sunscreen on certain areas to protect them,

I do put sunscreen on my cats. They love to be out in the sunshine, especially on the warmer months, and because of that, I find that I need to ensure any areas on them which are skin such as the tips of their ears, their nose, and such are protected.

I am shocked that it's not more well-known or pushed out there enough about using sunscreen on cats.
