Have your cats ever become caught up in something that damaged their fur?

I remember once Smokey came in from being outside for a little and I noticed she had something on her fur and it was all matted. On closer look, it looked like she had either gotten caught up or someone had thrown something at her.

It definitely looked like something like anti-vandal paint.

Have your cats ever come in with something that damaged and matted their fur?
 
She's a clean baby and I can never allow her to get hooked on something. I'm always careful on where she enters and being observant is what I mastered very well.
 
My cat does not engage in rough play, I can vouch for her in that aspect. So she has never been in a situation that has any effects on her fur.

I haven't seen a cat that behaves in a rough way except stray cat. Cats love to reserved their energy for something good coming their way and not for fight.

Well we cannot exactly blame the stray cats too. It’s the kind of life they have been exposed to, so we don’t expect them to behave otherwise.

Actually, I don't blame them for any reason. It wasn't their fault that they are left in the street. Like abandoned humans in the street, they are not ones that put themselves out there.

Yes they were just victims of circumstances. I really feel for them.

I felt for them too but I don't have that space to carry all even if they agreed to follow me. We all know that some stray cats won't be comfortable living with humans anymore, that life outside had mastered them.
