Why are some cats scared of their owners?

I visited a neighbor last weekend and I noticed that his cat runs to hide whenever he tries to touch him. It is surprising to me, because my own cat always wants to be around me.

What do you think causes this?

It's definitely going to be as a result of abuse that is going to make a cat to be afraid the owner. I've watched a video where a cat attacked its owner in a very dangerous way. I'm sure the person must have been abusing the poor cat for a long time.

They are not taking good care of their cats or showing their cats more love. Cats are very emotional, it's why they stay away from who doesn't love them.

It might be an abuse from the owner or it might be how the cat is. Some cats have the attitude of staying on their own. I won't call it an abuse but it's better to check well to know what's wrong with the cat.

I'm very sure that it would have something to do with the cat being abused. A human being abused will do the same thing. No one feels at home where they are trashed and treated bad.

If someone does not treat their cats well, or if they have the habit of beating them, they will not try to get close to him.

Unless it is a stray cat that was newly adopted, there is a chance that the cat will still be afraid of the owner until they are now more comfortable being with that person.
